About Me

Courtney Smyth
Welcome, I'm so glad your journey has brought you here.
I'm here to offer compassionate perinatal psychotherapy and support.

I'm Courtney, a highly qualified and compassionate psychotherapist. With a Master's degree in Educational Counselling, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have been providing psychotherapeutic support to clients since 2013, and my own journey has led me to specialize in perinatal mental health.

I understand that taking the first step toward seeking emotional and mental health support can be incredibly daunting. It's okay to feel uncertain or hesitant. I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and concerns at your own pace. Virtual sessions make it convenient for you to access support from the comfort of your own home, offering flexibility and privacy.

I primarily focus on providing psychotherapy services to individuals facing the unique challenges of the perinatal period (from thinking about starting a family, to trying to conceive, postpartum and any challenges along the way). My mission is to offer compassionate and evidence-based support to help you navigate the emotional journey of trying to conceive, infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, pregnancy after loss, postpartum, and birth trauma.

A Personal Note

I want to assure you that I personally understand some of the challenges that can come with the perinatal journey. I have experienced some of these difficulties firsthand, which has fueled my passion for helping others navigate their own paths to healing and resilience. My professional training and personal insights have equipped me to provide you with comprehensive and empathetic support.
